Happy Sunday!! What a treat this week has been for Kate fans!! And today, the whole family, minus Louis, was at Wimbledon! A few weeks ago, I was writing here about how much I loved last year’s Wimbledon, with Kate, Pippa, and Charlotte. And while I didn’t expect a repeat this year of that same combo, something like it would be great. The Wales family visit was perfection!!

Wimbledon 2025. What a day!! Getty.

Every time we see the children, they look so much older and more mature. I could really notice it in Charlotte today. William looked so tan and fit. Even with Anna Wintour and Nicole Kidman sitting behind them, all eyes were on the Wales family.

Along with all the lovely engagements Kate has had this week, it’s been an eventful week in other royal news. First, Natasha Archer, Kate’s longtime aide, is leaving to start her own consulting firm. They have worked together since Kate first joined the Royal Family. Her most recent title was, Senior Private Executive Assistant to the Prince and Princess of Wales.

She’s also married to Chris Jackson, the well-known royal photographer for Getty Images. Natasha and Chris met while she was working for the Royal Family and love blossomed. I remember looking at Chris’ IG stories while they were dating. Weekend trips away, meeting his family, I think he got Natasha into running from the updates he shared. Chris is an avid runner. He would give glimpses into their personal life in his stories, which was like a royal subplot for fans! A secondary love story. They eventually married and had two boys. I remember Chris posting pictures of Natasha working from home. With captions from him, a baby beside her and Natasha typing away on her computer. Was she sending Kate an email? It was all very interesting to a royal watcher. I don’t remember the source, but I know Natasha has spoken about what a great boss Kate has been. How Kate has made it possible for Natasha to adjust her work schedule around being a Mom.

The one caveat I would add, I have never considered Natasha a “real” stylist to Kate. I think she shops for Kate, I think Kate trusts her judgment, etc. But, I personally wouldn’t put her in the stylist category, and I have discussed this before. Maybe it’s because I’m American and we see Hollywood stylists a lot and they specialize in design and clothing. That’s all they do. I think Natasha’s role has always been broader than that. Shopping for clothing and recommending pieces, is not a stylist to me. Maybe that’s where the discrepancy comes in. Either way, yes, she’s been influential in the clothes Kate wears, agree. And she’s been a consistent presence in Kate’s work since the beginning.

With the announcement of her leaving and starting her own firm, I was excited for her. Working for the Royal Household is not a lucrative career. But, it’s very high profile and many use that experience to make more money. With two children, private schooling, college, etc., I’m sure Natasha saw a lot of pluses in starting something new.

So, it was with this mindset that I first heard about Natasha’s IG and who she was following. I believe her account was private and then she recently made it public in preparation for her new firm. She was following a whole host of Sussex friends and supporters. Once this became the talk of Twitter, immediately, her “following” count started to reduce. At first, I was hesitant to believe this was really her account, even though it linked to a signup page for her new firm. But, Chris was following it. It was her. There have been many theories and opinions on this situation. I’m not one to rush to roast someone, but I am shocked.
