The "Meghan Sussex” moment. Credit Netflix

Happy Sunday!! I hope everyone had a relaxing and recharging weekend. It’s exactly one week until Easter and I think we are all hoping to see William and Kate, along with the children, at Easter service. We have a poll running on our IG stories about whether we will see the Wales family for Easter and it’s overwhelmingly, yes!!

This week has brought some interesting Sussex news, as Meghan and Harry continue on their different paths. First, I want to share a tidbit with you that will make you laugh. It’s always interesting in royal news, when you see something and then later on, it takes on new meaning and context. Especially if it includes a chuckle.

You might remember back in March, when Amy Schumer shared a video on her Instagram account about Midi Health. It was very popular at the time because Amy made a dig at the end of the video about Meghan wanting to be called Meghan Sussex. (I actually think, and have discussed this on here before, that Meghan is transitioning to Sussex in prep for the divorce. Meghan’s parents divorced when she was very young and her Mom went back to her maiden name. Growing up, Meghan never shared a last name with her Mom, she’s talked about this in an interview before. While I do think she has commercial and social reasons for wanting to be called “Sussex” post divorce, I understand her wanting to share a last name with her children. And I think this is why she gave the somewhat convoluted explanation of a “family name”. She’s never had that before, which most of us just take as a given.)

During the video Amy said she enjoyed using Midi and then also shared that she invested in the company. At the end of the video, after promising not to “stir s-“, she signed off by asking, “Why don’t we have to call Kate Middleton, Kate of Wales?!?” The video is still posted on her page if you missed it. (We’ll repost it in our stories this evening too.)

It was confirmed in Fortune this week that Meghan is an investor in Midi Health.
